Great Love Bonito Sales 19/7/2013

Happy 3rd Birthday to Love Bonito!

May they have many  more good years to come for Love Bonito and I definitely look forward to more pretty pieces from them :):) I've probably 3-4 pieces of clothes from Love Bonito during this year CNY because they are all so pretty!

I didn't expect myself to be going down to their sales and thanks to my company event which ended way too early, much earlier than anyone could expect so Karen and I went down straight to their event. We weren't the first 100 customers hence no goodie bag for us. When We reached, the crowd wasn't too huge thus We had a enjoyable but yet tiring time digging the clothes from all the racks.

Pretty Balloons :)

Karen and me at after the sales!

We spend a total of more $98 which entitle us to enter the lucky draw, but We didn't win anything in the end lol.

Overall the sales was not that bad but there are way too many repetitive pieces all over the place. The pretty ones are left with XS and L/XL. The flats from love bonito are super pretty but the sizes left are 35/39! So sad right? That's the problem with not being the first few hundred to cheong in when the sales start.

I've gotten 2 dresses and 1 top for myself. I spend a total of $48, $18 for each dress and $12 for top. :) Below are the reviews for the loots from Love Bonito Sales. I can't really find all their names from Love Bonito website anymore so I guess it's from their older collection

I've gotten this maroon glittery padded at shoulder dress in size M. I've seen some white dress too in the rack but thinking that it might be sheer. The maroon color is a really pretty piece and I should have opt for the Size S. I can't really remember whether is there a Size S for it but I did remember seeing it but maybe in white color? The size M is quite loose for me so I'm letting it go. Do email me if you're interested okay? )

Another pretty dress but it's too loose for me too! It's in size M, comes with a belt but the sides are too loose for me. You can see in the picture that the dress is already showing my bra on the sides. This dress is of good quality and perfect for work. I'm letting go of this piece too, so do mail me if you're interested :)

Last of my loot is this tank top from them. $12 and totally worth it! I'm wearing shorts inside! Just trying to show the length of this tank top. Saw someone else getting this tank top too while I'm paying so I guess such piece are of a safer choice since it's free size and it's a casual wear, nth much to worry about like what if the length is too short for work, what if I can't fit in because of the side zip and 1001 other more worries!

To conclude,. I'm only satisfied with the tank top in the end. -_-". Not saying that their stuffs are not nice, just wrong size! Argh!

This is not my first time attending a Love Bonito sales. The previous time I took photo with 1 of the co-founder Rachel, but this time I feel so shy to approach her though I know she don't bite. I'll defintely try to attend their sales again if they have it in the near future.

I do wish for their sales opening hours to start later for weekday and extend till maybe 9pm so that the sales can cater to more working adults. And for weekend they can just start as per normal. I believe many working adults would prefer to go after work than to travel all the way down for sales on weekend because We just want to relax on weekend! :)

Seoul Xpress @ Jurong Point, OOTD Reviews

Friday dinner date with Derp this week is at Seoul Xpress @ Jurong Point. We try to have date night every friday for dinner and movie or just dinner ever since he started work :)

Okay the weird thing is, this is my first time there and blogging about it. But apparently there's readers searching for seoul xpress and it leads to my blog. Me couldn't figure out why too but anyway this time I've went there and time for a review of this restaurant/fast food outlet.
The queue wasn't really that long, you can find seats quite easily, it's not that crowded.

The menu which I think many might be interested in :)

Seoul Xpress mainly sells korean rice bowl, korean ramen or the wraps. The price is quite affordable and you can opt to take away too. So I guess 1 more choice of take away food for those staying near.

Derp ordered the cheese ramen and I ordered the Kimchi Ramen. I add on to have the drink + korean side dish whereby Derp add on the drink + fries.

Seriously, they shouldn't call themsevles ramen, it's more like korean maggie noodles.

My Kimchi Ramen.

Derp's Cheese Ramen.

My korean side dish.

Derp think that their maggie is not bad but as for me, I think it's just expensive maggie. I would probably go for the wraps/rice bowls next time. I didn't end up finishing my noodles and as for the side dish, I find them tasteless until I asked Derp do they have any taste? He say yup. Then He told me probably my kimchi ramen have covered my taste buds and I can no longer taste other stuff unless I drink some water and continue eating.

Though I did not have a good impression of their food, but I'll probably take away their wraps for dinner 1 of these days when I don't know what to eat for dinner.

On Saturday, Derp and I went to Expo support his friend at a makeup competition at expo! Totally impressed that his friend, a male, got into finals at a make up competition. Though he didn't win in the end, but I think it's a achievement that he got into the finals out of 58 makeup artists.

While waiting for the show to start :)

Jcube Eat @Taipei, Serangoon Broadway

Last friday date night, Derp and I went to Jcube to have some taiwan cuisine! Not my first time there but it's Derp first time. I've always wanted to bring him there to try the food though it's really nth fantastic but above average and the food is at affordable price.

We were planning to go for a mini wedding fair at JEM but didn't want to dine it at JEM due to the crowd. Jcube is a better choice to have dinner nowadays because it's quite deserted now.

The various train stations in Taipei.

Trust me, I still can't really figure it out. I was trying so hard to find Xi Men station which Derp and I stayed on our 2nd last day in Taiwan.

Derp ordered the Spicy Braised Beef Noodles. This beef noodles had beef inside unlike the one in Taiwan's Ding Tai Fung, there's no beef inside and yet they name it spicy braised beef noodles. -_-". It's like ordering chicken rice without chicken. Anyway, the beef noodles was spicy enough for Derp's tastebud and the beef was good.

I ordered something light which is the Dan Dan Noodles. :) Simple noodles cooked with egg, prawn and bean sprouts.

We also ordered the crispy chicken cutlet as side dish.

I still prefer shilin/hot star chicken. This chicken is totally non spicy at all. I guess probably because they never spam their chilli powder lol. Guess those who can't take spicy food would love this but definitely not for Derp and me.

I went down with Derp to Serangoon Broadway to get his graduation robe the following day.

Initally, our plan was not to get any gown for Derp because he can just wear mine. I only wear it once 2 years ago, the condition is still damn good. But later on, We decide to take grad shoot/casual pre wedding shoot all in one shot after Derp's graduation, so no choice We got to go there to get the gown again. Thankfully a graduation robe doesn't cost much. it's around $35 bucks for the whole set.

Cute graduation bear.

They even have graduation owls now. Quite cute what? But Derp think likewise lol.

Now I'm looking forward to Derp's graduation that's happening next week! :) I think I'm more excited than him though he's the one graduating. The feeling of going back to see your school and those professors who taught you before, 真的是那些年!

On a side note, I've added in the "about me" tab beside the "home" tab! Do read it if you ever am interested. I just reckon that it's necessary to add in hence I just do it up :)

Review: 淘宝网 Taobao Loots

It's not my first time shopping on Taobao but it's my first time blogging it down!

Just feel that there's some information to share out to my readers out there and hopefully the information is helpful to everyone especially for those who are interested to get cheap stuffs from Taobao.

I don't buy items from Taobao straight off from their website but instead, I join a spree organised by allurekingdom. She do hold monthly taobao sprees and she's a good organizer. Just sign up for her mailing list and you will be informed of her latest spree. She's well organized, efficient and keep you updated on the status or you can just check it out at her livejournal. :) So far, I've not face any problems spree-ing from her. She's a trustworthy spree organizer! :)

Anyway I mainly spree for hp casings! First of all, it's not easy to find nice and cheap casing for my blackberry casing just because it's not so commonly use in Singapore. Oh and the last few times I did spree for my blackberry casing but it just disappeared all of a sudden in my room. I can't seem to find it hence I spree for it again. I'm glad they just costs me 3 to 4 sgd. I don't feel so heart pain losing my casing.

This time round I spree for my itouch 5 casing too. Gotten the cute rilakkumas one! I've always envious those who use iphone and they can have rilakkuma casing, now I finally have mine. But I haven't try it yet. 不舍得用!

Last but not least, bought 1 casing for Derp's HTC phone. He's reluctant to bring his new phone out until he got the casing but those selling in Singapore is just too expensive. We got it off from 淘宝 at a cheaper price.

Everything below costs us $30 sgd. So good deal right? :) I've never spree for clothes on Taobao before but I'm always tempted to. Maybe the next time round?

Do consider getting stuff from taobao at a cheaper price if you have the time to spare to wait for it to arrive. It usually take around 1-1.5 months till it reach my place. They basically sell all sorts of thing on their website though I must say it's not easy to navigate around the website if you can't really read chinese characters well. Honestly speaking, I usually understand 50% of it but I'm able to navigate through the website, just at a slower pace :)

Okay I'm off to the bed now, heading for another run tml evening. 1 week run twice on weekdays is really tiring and requires a lot of self discipline!

BBQ @ East Coast Park 13th July 2013

I've planned this BBQ for colleagues months back because everyone rather do something else instead of meeting up at a restaurant and just eat every time we meetup.

Lester booked the pit way back before the haze come, We were afraid that the haze would not go away and our BBQ got to be cancelled, but thank god, the haze is long gone way before our BBQ date :)

As We were all too lazy  to prepare the food stuff, We decide to go ahead and order online. After some research, ezb bbq were chosen!  The price was reasonable and the package they have is sufficient  and most importantly the price is reasonable.

Btw, We made a wrong decision when We chose the pit. It was so freaking far from the carpark! If you ever going to book pit at area C of East Coast Park, please choose pit 7-12 or if you would like a better sea view, choose pit 21-27. Somewhere in the middle of 21-27 would be fine. Our BBQ pit is far away from both carparks. Seriously, #walkdieus.

Oh the toilet is freaking far away from BBQ pit C area, so try to choose pit D area. It's so much nearer to the toilet compare to area C.

The wind was just too strong and make it almost impossible to start the fire.

IMG_1979

LQ came not long later and help to setup the fire. I guess all of us is really helpless that We decide to use the styrofoam box as the place to lit up the fire starter.

IMG_1985

IMG_1988
Start fire till his whole head is gone inside.

IMG_1993
Finally! But we burned a hole in the styrofoam box lol!

IMG_1997

IMG_2000

Guess We don't really dare to let go of all this shield until the fire is in a more stable load.

IMG_2004

They wanted to use the lid of the dustbin to block all the wind but realise that this method won't work.

IMG_2011
Kelvin hugging Emme to meet Liang Quan. She's registering LQ's face into her database. lol.

IMG_2020
And yes poor Emme cry out loud whenever she's hug by any of us. Sad. :( See her cry till like that also don't dare touch her liao. Only Lester dare to do it and it's after the Nth time, emme finally stop crying when he hug her but her face doesn't seems that happy :X.

IMG_2024
Started out BBQ not long after the fire was ready.

The food was more than enough, the main course was not that bad, We ended up with lots of leftover though. We stayed and talked till nearly 11pm that day. None of us really have the stamina to eat or maybe Derp is the only one who can really eat lol, the rest of us gave up after awhile.

Group photo of the night before the Emme and her parents left.

IMG_2044
My thigh muscles look O.O in this photo. Please ignore it :)

IMG_2045

So much of a coincidence, the BBQ's smoke blew over and it look as though We were BBQ-ing under PSI 400 condition.

No idea when will it be our next gathering, probably xmas? So hard to meetup nowadays. :S. But kudos to those who make the effort to attend. as they are the ones who really cherish these frienship :):):)

Despicable Me Craze in Singapore

Gone is the Hello Kitty madness in Singapore which lasted the whole month of June and here comes the Minions craze in Singapore.

The whole hello kitty madness gone out of hand during the final week launch of the singing bones hello kitty. Especially when people start queuing at 8 to 9pm waiting for the launch at 12 midnight, I totally don't understand why! Possibly, it's because of "limited edition" this 2 words, but seriously it's not cute at all. Then the following morning, there's many sellers of the black kitty on ebay selling their kitties as high as few hundred thousand for 1 kitty. -_-". 有需要吗?

But in anyway, the SGAG photos of the Hello Kitty craze entertain me quite well and make me laugh out loud.

Though McDonalds have limit the customers to buy 4 black kitties at a time, I do think it's too much la! Should have just limit to only 1 kitty per customer and that should allow more people to get it.

Okay whatever it is, Singapore's McDonalds started selling Despicable Me minions toy in July. Minions got me crazy over them because they are just so cute. At least cuter than hello kitty la! No offence to Hello Kitty fans but the minion toys by Mcdonalds have just got more functions than the hello kitty toy.

My favourite scene from Desipicable Me 2. I love to irritate Derp with this sound :)

My 3 Minions from first week of  launch.

At that time, buying them was a breeze. Most of them buy 1 and go off, but there's also people buying 3 happy meals at a time, and I belong to the buy 3 happy meals at a time type of customers. # fatdieme #eatdieme. Anyway I didn't finish all my meals la, I even ta bao home for Derp to have it.

For the 2nd week launch, they implemented the donate meals policy. But when I went to buy the minions, the queue was horribly long and they should have gave out queue number.

A lot of people bought 3 yellow minions at a time and totally ignore the purple minion. I saw the last 3 yellow minions got sold to a lady that was infront of me a little. Screw those who buy 3 yellow minions at a time. They just have problem with the evil minions.

But nevertheless, I manage to get the 2 purple minions to join in my minions troop, it's better than nth right? :) I'm waiting to order online once it's launch and collect it in December. Come to think of it, does it make any difference if you collect it now and some months later?

Thank you Mcdonalds for having this system, greatly appreciated but to think of it, 4 months time frame is it a little too long? Perhaps they are just preparing for the worse and the minions might come in November :) I might just opt to buy the last 3 minions online too if the queue get horribly long this coming Thursday. Stuffing myself with happy meals with so many weeks is really zzz!

Though I've 5 minions instead of 6 as of now, I'm still contented. :)

Introducing them to each other. Actually the evil minions may seems ugly, but they really look quite funny lor lolol. They dont belong to the cute minions league but I would deem them as funny looking minions :)

Ending this entry with this cute little girl wearing a Minion beanie hat. so cute! :) Chanced upon this little girl when I head to IMM's to get reading specs for my dad. Seems like the minion craze really hit on every Singaporean from all walks of life.

Taiwan Day 7 Part 2 (06/06/2013) & Taiwan Day 8 (07/06/2013)- Go Sleep Hotel, Modern Toilet Restaurant, Xi Men Ding, Taoyuan Airport -> Singapore.

The last of my Taiwan trip was spend in Xi Men Ding :)

We checked into Go Sleep Hotel which is located in Xi Men Ding itself. The hotel room is small but yet have the modern feel.

SAM_1248
There's a stairs leading to the toilet :)

SAM_1249

Our tour guide brought us to the Modern Toilet Restaurant which is located just a street away from our hotel! :) Everyone just feel like trying since We are there already. But honestly speaking, the food was so-so. I've actually pass by this restaurant when I was in KL last year but Esther and me decide not to have it cause seems to be nothing special.

SAM_1250

The kind waitress provided us with english menu because We'll probably need another 15 minutes to decipher the words and decide what to eat. A tip for you - Brush up your chinese before going to Taiwan because We are too used to simplified chinese characters and only come across traditional chinese characters in drama.

SAM_1251

SAM_1252

SAM_1254

SAM_1258

The map of Xi Men Ding provided by our hotel. This map is god damn useful even though Derp and I got lost at least 1 time in Xi Men Ding. Without the map, We probably would have spend a longer time locating places.

SAM_1259

SAM_1260
The milk tea.

SAM_1261
We ordered one main to share because We heard from Carls(our tour mate) that the portion is huge. Plus I wanna keep some stomach space for other eateries in Xi Men Ding. :)

SAM_1262

SAM_1264

SAM_1266
Side Dish - Popcorn Chicken

SAM_1268
Dessert - The ice cream which taste like our 7-11's mr softy :)

SAM_1272

SAM_1271
If you would have realise, I'm no longer wearing my Cat top cause it's cold in Xi Men Ding due to the rain before We arrived.

SAM_1274
We went to visit Xiao Zhu's shop after our dinner. It's located just behind our hotel. I can die with no regrets now lol.

SAM_1275
It wasn't really crowded that night in Xi Men Ding because it's a Thursday night. Many youngsters would go there to watch movie. It's like our Cinilesiure.

We walked around a little before locating Ah Zhong Mian Xian.

SAM_1277

SAM_1276
Overrated mee sua with no oysters in it. :(. Totally disappointed with it.

We went elsewhere to have desserts after the Ah Zhong Mian Xian.

SAM_1281
Waffles Ice Cream is one of my favourite dessert now :)

SAM_1278

SAM_1279

SAM_1280
We also ordered the fresh milk tea without pearls :) pearls are fattening stuff and you never know whether is it safe to consume it anot. So just make do without it.

Our loots of the day..

SAM_1285
This bear with chinese characters on it. We got 1 for Derp's mother and ended up going back there the next day to get my name and Derp's bro and gf name. :)

SAM_1283

There's nth much exciting in Xi Men Ding actually, things are not cheap there. Night markets stuff are cheaper but if you're looking for entertainment like catching a movie or so, you can do all this in Xi Men Ding :). As for food wise, is just all restaurants and more restaurants! Quite boring, We still prefer Night Market :)

We woke up and have breakfast at the hotel before heading elsewhere. But it's too early so many places in Xi Men Ding is not opened yet.

SAM_1286

Derp didn't eat much of the hotel breakfast because he's craving for KFC porridege. But the taiwan KFC porridge disappoint him lol.

SAM_1287

槟榔! This is commonly sold by pretty babes haha.

SAM_1288
Da Ren Ge is everywhere outside Taiwan's Mcdonalds.

SAM_1289

Derp ordered his porridge and I have a small chicken wrap. Derp was utterly disappointed with the porridge because he never imagine the taste would be so off from Singapore's kfc porridge.

SAM_1290

SAM_1291

Xi Men Ding in the morning. Anyway, spot the Cosmed shop(Orange banner). Do go there to get your cheap masks and skin care products. They have all sorts of nice and cheap stuff there. Cosmed can be easily find in all parts of Taiwan.

SAM_1292
OOTD - The new dress/top is from a small pushcart in Xi Men Ding :)

At around 12 noon, We set off to the airport. Our tour guide send us off and We went to check in. It's been a good 8 days with the tour guide and tour mates :)

SAM_1296\

  SAM_1297
Actually the box is quite empty inside lol. As I mentioned before, once you hit a certain amount of spending in Vigour Khoo, they helped you to wrapped it up in a box :)

SAM_1298

We had lunch before crossing the custom to wait for our flight after checking in our barangs barangs.

SAM_1299

SAM_1300

SAM_1301
We had some really spicy chicken shredded noodles.

SAM_1302
And also spicy wonton dumpling. :)

Our flight was slightly delayed but We were home around 10pm.

This marks the end of my Taiwan Trip 2013!

I'm looking forward to another trip end of this year. Though I think is more like a settle-wedding-stuff trip this year end. but I believe We'll still relax and enjoy till the fullest. Take it as a short getaway for both of us from work :)
