Great Love Bonito Sales 19/7/2013

Happy 3rd Birthday to Love Bonito! 

May they have many  more good years to come for Love Bonito and I definitely look forward to more pretty pieces from them :):) I've probably 3-4 pieces of clothes from Love Bonito during this year CNY because they are all so pretty! 

I didn't expect myself to be going down to their sales and thanks to my company event which ended way too early, much earlier than anyone could expect so Karen and I went down straight to their event. We weren't the first 100 customers hence no goodie bag for us. When We reached, the crowd wasn't too huge thus We had a enjoyable but yet tiring time digging the clothes from all the racks.

We spend a total of more $98 which entitle us to enter the lucky draw, but We didn't win anything in the end lol. 

Overall the sales was not that bad but there are way too many repetitive pieces all over the place. The pretty ones are left with XS and L/XL. The flats from love bonito are super pretty but the sizes left are 35/39! So sad right? That's the problem with not being the first few hundred to cheong in when the sales start. 

I've gotten 2 dresses and 1 top for myself. I spend a total of $48, $18 for each dress and $12 for top. :) Below are the reviews for the loots from Love Bonito Sales. I can't really find all their names from Love Bonito website anymore so I guess it's from their older collection

I've gotten this maroon glittery padded at shoulder dress in size M. I've seen some white dress too in the rack but thinking that it might be sheer. The maroon color is a really pretty piece and I should have opt for the Size S. I can't really remember whether is there a Size S for it but I did remember seeing it but maybe in white color? The size M is quite loose for me so I'm letting it go. Do email me if you're interested okay? ) 

Another pretty dress but it's too loose for me too! It's in size M, comes with a belt but the sides are too loose for me. You can see in the picture that the dress is already showing my bra on the sides. This dress is of good quality and perfect for work. I'm letting go of this piece too, so do mail me if you're interested :)

Last of my loot is this tank top from them. $12 and totally worth it! I'm wearing shorts inside! Just trying to show the length of this tank top. Saw someone else getting this tank top too while I'm paying so I guess such piece are of a safer choice since it's free size and it's a casual wear, nth much to worry about like what if the length is too short for work, what if I can't fit in because of the side zip and 1001 other more worries! 

To conclude,. I'm only satisfied with the tank top in the end. -_-". Not saying that their stuffs are not nice, just wrong size! Argh! 

This is not my first time attending a Love Bonito sales. The previous time I took photo with 1 of the co-founder Rachel, but this time I feel so shy to approach her though I know she don't bite. I'll defintely try to attend their sales again if they have it in the near future.

I do wish for their sales opening hours to start later for weekday and extend till maybe 9pm so that the sales can cater to more working adults. And for weekend they can just start as per normal. I believe many working adults would prefer to go after work than to travel all the way down for sales on weekend because We just want to relax on weekend! :)

Review: Love Bonito Bethany Bralet (Navy Blue)

It's been awhile since I've bought something from Love Bonito. In one of their latest collection, their bralet caught my eye. 

I've been searching over the internet trying to find a bralet to match with my skirts but to no avail. I've seen some bralets from Love Bonito old collection and praying that they will bring back somemore bralets. This time round, they bring in this Bethany Bralet which caught my eye.

This Bethany Bralet is filled with floral prints, unlike the traditional type of plain bralet. Time to welcome spring/summer eh? :)

 I've a hard time choosing between green or navy blue, but I decided on the navy blue after seeing how the model pair the bralet with a black maxi skirt. 

I matched it with my own skater skirt to see how it look like :)

I would say the length of the bralet is just nice The S size fits quite well for me. There's still allowance at the waist area. The adjustable strap of the bralet is a plus point I would say. Though the bralet is lightly padded, one can still wear a normal bra inside and would not feel too thick at your bust area. 

The bralet comes with a zip at the back of it. After I posted this review on bestshopping.lifejournal.com, another livejournal user told me that actually it can be unzipped all the way. Thanks for telling me that the bralet could be unzip all the way. I went to try it again! It does able to unzip all the way. Previously, I was holding on to the cloth beneath the zip thus I'm like fighting with myself while trying to unzip it and thus gave up in the end. Do take note not to hold on to the piece of cloth below the bralet when you are unzipping. :)

The downside of the bralet is if your shoulders are broad like me, you would experience a little hard time putting on/taking off the bralet. Even after unzipping the bralet, I've trouble getting the bralet across my shoulder and pull it down. The bralet zip is not like those of a jacket's whereby you can unzip all the way down, and just need to hook it together before zipping up again. The end of the bralet zip are hooked together instead when you are putting it on. 

This piece is defintely a great buy!

Itacho Sushi, Malaysia Boleh, Baby Emme, Love Bonito Sales!

Had a few meetups with li hua for the last 2 months to celebrate my belated birthday, xmas gift exchange and most importantly out FTT test. Will elaborate more as i goes along :)

First up, I met up with li hua at Jcube Itacho for dinner to celebrate my belated birthday and she got me my favourite rilakkuma stuff which i can really put it to good use.

We had our xmas exchange at Jurong Point - Malaysia Boleh. Okay there's this fasinating fact about this place. I stayed near jurong point,  so whenever there's new shop in jurong point, i'm bound to know it first hand. If i'm not wrong, Malaysia Boleh was opened late last year, probably sep/oct, i cant really remember when but its like quite sometimes ago BUT everytime i want to dine in there, its always crowded. When i say always, i really mean always and i just go in turn one round and get out. The crowd at malaysia boleh never get to lessen even though there's other fantastic food in Jurong Point, even till this date its still crowded! 

I've been wanting to try the clay pot rice from Malaysia Boleh cause i think i've tried a the best claypot rice when i was in KL! When i go in and took a look without dining in, i've set my eyes on the claypot rice and wonder does it taste the same as the one i ate in KL.

I finally got a seat at Malaysia Boleh after work 1 day. Machiam strike toto, super hard to find seats even though i was there early like 7pm. I still got to hanged around awhile to wait for seats. omg!

So here's what we ordered at Malaysia Boleh that day. They called themsevles the Pertaling Street Famous Claypot Chicken Rice. Pertaling is the 'chinatown' in KL which i had my lok lok and the clay pot rice there. So when i see it, i was hoping it has exactly the same taste as the one i had in KL cause i really misses it. And YES its really the SAME! whahahha! I'm so happy!! I can finally satisfy my claypot rice craving in singapore without going to KL. :) I've been craving for it since i come back from KL. 

Now where can i get Bak Kwa in SG that taste like those in KL? hmmm

Anyway other than the claypot rice, we also shared prawn noodle and the hokkien mee. I know it looks like fried kuay tiao in SG. lol. I think the food is overall not bad leh if u know what to order of cause. I shall tabao the claypot rice home one day since i know getting a seat there is as good as striking toto/4d. 

Happy me with the claypot rice. Sinful but yet so yummy :) Just tell myself to exercise more after that than. lol. Its worth it!

Oh ya in early dec, i took my first try on FTT. Was quite confident cause i studied it quite thoroughly. End up i failed :( but Li Hua passed on first attempt. But i never give up, booked my next test date on 19th Jan which is 2 days ago, was having slight fever the night before and when i woke up, i think i never even studied that hard for this FTT, i was even late cause its raining cats and dogs the whole of sat all over singapore. I passed the 2nd time round! 49/50!! :):). So happy can? Was still afraid if i fail again is damn sian la! Li Hua has been waiting for me to apply the PDL together. so kind of her :) Yes we are going to apply it damn soon and start finding our driving instructors :) One step closer to my driving license.

Next up, another big happenings of dec 2012 is the birth of baby Emme. she's born on 12/12/2012. so nice date right? By right she should be out on 13/12/2012, but her mother decide to get induce on 12/12/2012. Almost couldnt make it cause she just dont want to come out lol. In the end she was borned around 10pm that night. I was contacting Karen the whole day wondering whats the progress and should we go down on 12/12 or 13/12 depend son what time baby is out lol. We even bought ready all the gifts and etc. Till a point no reply from her, i know she's in too much pain liao! next moment after i bathe, i receive a message saying baby out liao! :)

Our boss and colleagues went down on 13/12 after work to visit karen and to see baby Emme! She's so small in my arms! I'm glad she did open her eyes when i'm carrying her that time! Anyway Karen gave birth without the use of epidural. super brave girl can? *full respect to her* lol. Her story is well known to our bosses and colleauges. Hopefully i can see her during CNY Luo Hei. By then she's around 2 months old le! hehe.

And last but not least, i attended Love Bonito sales with hazel. Got myself 3 dress from the sales and they are selling at $18 dollars each. Hazel bought 2 dress + 1 top. :)

Anyway the BEST part of the sales is to get to see Love Bonito founders~ They each at different cashiers. So when it was our turn to pay, i'm so glad it was rachel! lol. I treat her as my 女神! She's so pretty and she got a god damn good figure :)

She asked us our names and even ask us where we working and is it far from the sales event. lol. When she asked our names we couldnt reply her. Think we just dumbfounded at that point of time by her beauty. lol. I will defintely go to future love bonito sales if  time allows :)

Hazel's Wedding

Nov 26th 2012 - Hazel's Wedding!

Got invited to be her 1 of her jie meis in around june or july. Then i still remember helping her order the bridesmaid dress from love bonito! That day 2pm launch, karen and i camp infront of the internet machine to get the dresses! Hazel came back late from lunch as the bus just dont want to come! lol.

The guys must be wondering what we were doing!  So kan cheong and scare the dress sold out! When she came back from lunch, the invoice we even printed out and put on her table liao :x. She brought the bridesmaid dress to office and we go toilet to change! lol.

And time flies so fast!

Before the day she got married, all the jie meis met to buy stuff again at amk hub! Bought all the gate crash items, last minute briefing by hazel in the afternoon of the games and schedules and off we go home to rest! I went to bed at 12:30am but only managed to fall asleep at nearly 2am! I've got to wake up around 5am! Of cause the tiredness dont kick in so fast it only comes in the afternoon!

Got to reach hazel's house at AMK by 6:15am. I still remmeber the cab driver drive very fast and talk a lot rubbish early morning when i'm like half awake. Once reached hazel house, starte to join the others who have reached first to prepare the gate crash items! :)

First station was the standard sour, sweet, bitter, spicy. I was the one preparing the spicy. I still remember the video highlights got me squeezing wasabi lol. The videography ask me squeeze then they take video of it! Second station is they got to pass smal piece of seadweed with their mouth! nearly kissing each other or should i say as good as kissing each other! lol. Before we let them get in, they got to squeeze ballons with various body parts and keith got to ans various qn about hazel like her shoe size, their first date and etc before we let them come in!

Once they come in, all the jie meis start decorating the brothers with moustache and hair props to let them dance to Kpop songs! Played the video let them watch one time and they got to dance lol. its super funny! Last but ont least is the 10 commandments but hazel only manage to think of 7 i think haha! Keith got to read out and sign and then sing IU high pitch notes for hazel to hear lol. Hazel want to hear keith 破音!

After Keith fetched hazel, all of us head over to Keith's house at punggol! Since we were on schedule, the photographer and videographer want us to took some shots below keith house before heading up!

I went home after the morning session! Bathe and went to JP Chapter 2 to do my hair! :) Purposely let them wash  and also blow! The washing part is so shiok! I like! hahaha! I was sleeping in the salon. too tired le!

Anyway the solmenization starts at around 6;15pm! The Justic of Peace is Dr Phua! Same as XiaXue's one! Really humourous guy. :)

Okay i must say my whole table of people bth me cause i red wine, beer, ice water and chinese tea. i'm like conquering all the space of those sitting beside me! lol.

After the yum seng, it was table to table photo then hazel got some free time and she came over! We did a yum seng for her and make her drink this red wine + sprite and she like it a lot cause she was thirsty! The dinner ended early like 10+ then we waited all the guest went liao then we took individual photo with her! :)

I wish Keith and Hazel a happy and blissful marriage! :) They are now in korea honeymoon-ing! Its their long awaited trip! And i'm waiting for her to come back to tell me all her happenings in korea! :)
