BonJapan Giveaway Contest (April - May 2013, Theme: Rilakkuma)

When BonJapan opened it's latest shopfront at Dhoby Ghaut Exchange 2 months back, I went down with Derp to show support and also try out their hokkaido cream puff. yummy! Read more about it here.

Before I went down to Kyler's baby shower, I popped by BonJapan station to claim my prize. I've won their monthly giveaway and that month giveaway was all Rilakkuma stuff, my favourite :)

As long you spend $20 , you are eligible to join their contest just by submitting your entry online. It took me less than 3 minutes of filling up your information and you are done! Totally fuss-free. The results were announce on their facebook and also through email :)

Once I reached there, I chose a Kuji card from the lucky draw box and started scratching the Kuji card to see what I've won.

They requested of photos to be taken with the winners, because I heard from them there's people who think that their giveaway was a scam for them to spend $20 and the giveaway was never held. But it's true okay? :)

This time round the giveaway has quite a wide range. I'm praying to win something from Fate Zero or Monster Hunter! *cross fingers*

I've bought myself this 2 snacks for $20 and has entered the giveaway draw.

Hokkaido White Chocolate Kitkat, Greentea and Vanilla Swissroll.

Any 2 packets of their 4 flavoured kit kats are going at 2 for $20. The 4 flavours kit kats are not sold in NTUC or so, they are flown in from Japan. There's other Japan snacks going at 2 for $20 also. I remember seeing they have special oreo from Japan under the 2 for $20 promotion too :) 

Though their Hokkaido white chocolate kit kat is their best seller, I should have taken the dark chocolate kit kat because I find the white chocolate kit kat a little sweet for my liking.

I've always been a big fan of Bonjapan because of the wide range of items they brought in from Japan. I've attended their one piece cafe event, rilakkuma dessert cafe event  and visited their JMall last year. This time round, I was invited to the Bonjapan Station opening at Dhoby Ghaut Xchange. 

It got me excited because of the variety of  Japanese snacks/desserts  they are bringing in for example Hokkaido Cream Puff and Dorayaki(Doraemon's food) and also with every $20 purchased, one can participate in their rilakkuma giveaway. How can I not get excited? :)

Knowing that Bonjapan Station is opening at Dhoby Ghaut Xchange reminded me that I can get POSH brownies from there too. I've been wanting to buy more posh brownies ever since I bought and ate 2 in March when they came to Jurong Point to sell their brownies during a road show. Derp and I heated up our brownie and match it with vanilla ice cream for a sunday afternoon teabreak. Sinful but defintely worth the calories. Their brownies are our current favourite dessert.

Because Bonjapan Station was a little crowded when We reached, We headed over to POSH first to get our brownies. While waiting for our brownies to be packed, I took some photos of their shopfront at dhoby ghaut xchange. They had 1 more outlet at Kovan.

Pretty brownies but I can't imagine I eat the whole chunk by myself. It's gonna take me ages to finish it. 

We bought another 2 brownies this time. We only have out weekend to slowly enjoy this brownies though, normal weekday We are just too lazy to heat up the brownie and scoop ice cream to eat. sigh. We can't buy too much a a time looking at our situation. I do love times like this, simply eating brownie and be a potato couch watching some movies on our computer screen on a weekend.

Happily skipped over to bonjapan station after We bought our brownie. Okay la they are just side by side lol. 

Our loots from Bonjapan Station were packed into this paper bag. We bought the hokkaido cream puff (Chocolate, Vanilla flavour), mini dorayaki(chocolate, custard flavours) and also Mochi( Sakura + double green tea flavour). I don't really know how to describe whats Sakura flavour after eating it. 

We chose to have the hokkaido cream puff to be eaten straight so they gave us the ready-to-eat type. They have the frozen type which last 2 hours. 

Yummy vanilla ice cream inside the puff. It does remind me of breadpapa just that breadpapa is not ice cream filling.

The staff explain to us their new products flown in from japan and not forgetting the new drink range that they are launching too. Different types of tea blended with chocolate and coffee. I'll go back there soon to try it :)

We left our mochi with bonjapan first because We intend to walk around the new plaza singapura extension and have our dinner. Everywhere was so crowded at the new plaza singapura extension. Tim Ho Wan was open for invited guest but there's already a queue.

We settled down at Hifumi Japanese Restaurant for our dinner. 

All their set meals come with with the all-you-can-eat-appetizer. Sorry for the blur photo because after I took the photo I dash off to the appetizer bar lol.

My main - Beef with garden salad serve with rice and miso soup. 

Derp having his saba fish with rice and miso soup. I always have the thinking that this kind of fish quite ma fan to eat but actually that's not the case lol. It's quite easy to eat and I kept stealing from derp lol. 

I can't finish my mains but I went to take somemore appetizer. The purple thingy is japanese sweet potato coated with some sweet sauce. Nice and crunchy :)

Look of the day - I just put on clio eyelinear, didnt draw my brows ever since I did eyebrow emobriodery. 

Initially We wanted to head back to JP to watch Saving General Yang but the theater was quite packed when We checked online. We decide to catch it the next day so I brought Derp to eat waffles since Createaf is at that area.  

I ordered the snack set for each of us, 1/4 waffle with ice cream of our choice and fruits. $4.50 each.

As usual I had their roasted tea :)

We went back to Bonjapan Station to collect our mochis. They brought out rilakkuma to place at their shop front.

Hello! I've been so busy lately! I'm still working on the long post on boy's birthday celebration last year. Our trip to Sentosa Marine Life Park! stay tuned then. :)

I've been so busy cause of bestie wedding and also gatherings! We finally got our gatecrash items more or less ready! :). Stayed till nearly 12am at her house doing it up. Cant wait for the actual day to see the effect lol.

I havent really get ready for CNY yet! Tell myself after bestie wedding then i shall pack my room and etc. But its like after her wedding it's less than 1 week to CNY liao. omg~ lol. I'm taking leave after her wedding and i hope to get most of the cny things done. Wanted to get new bedsheet too!

But i've gotten my new bolster already hahahahah! Saw this rilakkuma prints bolster at ntuc extra in hougang one while having lunch there. Went to get it the night at JP ntuc extra that night lol. I cant possibly hug the bolster back from hougang one to jurong.

This bolster came in time cause i've been wanting to change my bolster lol! And yes i dont hug those giangtic ones if you are wondering. i only like this size of bolster :) And of cause this rilakkuma bolster need a cover.

Came home late last night and was checking email. Saw this Agnes B Bag which caught my eye. Seems good le, just that the handle is those cloth type and i'm still comtemplating~

On the other hand, i'm also looking at this CECIL McBEE bag. It seems more class and the handle is not cloth type! lol.

The CECIL McBEE is cheaper than the Agnes B one by 1 dollar or so. If you are wondering where to get them,click for agnes b and CECIL McBEE :) Guess i should be getting the CECIL McBEE bag hmm..nowadays deals got so many such bags and i just can't help to give them a second look. Always so tempted to get it!

  

Was clearing my hp pictures and saw this few funny and yet cute pictures in my hp. All taken by boy and send to me during my work time. He disturb me with these pictures or probably he's just bored at home.

Itacho Sushi, Malaysia Boleh, Baby Emme, Love Bonito Sales!

Had a few meetups with li hua for the last 2 months to celebrate my belated birthday, xmas gift exchange and most importantly out FTT test. Will elaborate more as i goes along :)

First up, I met up with li hua at Jcube Itacho for dinner to celebrate my belated birthday and she got me my favourite rilakkuma stuff which i can really put it to good use.

We had our xmas exchange at Jurong Point - Malaysia Boleh. Okay there's this fasinating fact about this place. I stayed near jurong point,  so whenever there's new shop in jurong point, i'm bound to know it first hand. If i'm not wrong, Malaysia Boleh was opened late last year, probably sep/oct, i cant really remember when but its like quite sometimes ago BUT everytime i want to dine in there, its always crowded. When i say always, i really mean always and i just go in turn one round and get out. The crowd at malaysia boleh never get to lessen even though there's other fantastic food in Jurong Point, even till this date its still crowded! 

I've been wanting to try the clay pot rice from Malaysia Boleh cause i think i've tried a the best claypot rice when i was in KL! When i go in and took a look without dining in, i've set my eyes on the claypot rice and wonder does it taste the same as the one i ate in KL.

I finally got a seat at Malaysia Boleh after work 1 day. Machiam strike toto, super hard to find seats even though i was there early like 7pm. I still got to hanged around awhile to wait for seats. omg!

So here's what we ordered at Malaysia Boleh that day. They called themsevles the Pertaling Street Famous Claypot Chicken Rice. Pertaling is the 'chinatown' in KL which i had my lok lok and the clay pot rice there. So when i see it, i was hoping it has exactly the same taste as the one i had in KL cause i really misses it. And YES its really the SAME! whahahha! I'm so happy!! I can finally satisfy my claypot rice craving in singapore without going to KL. :) I've been craving for it since i come back from KL. 

Now where can i get Bak Kwa in SG that taste like those in KL? hmmm

Anyway other than the claypot rice, we also shared prawn noodle and the hokkien mee. I know it looks like fried kuay tiao in SG. lol. I think the food is overall not bad leh if u know what to order of cause. I shall tabao the claypot rice home one day since i know getting a seat there is as good as striking toto/4d. 

Happy me with the claypot rice. Sinful but yet so yummy :) Just tell myself to exercise more after that than. lol. Its worth it! 

Malaysia Boleh

Oh ya in early dec, i took my first try on FTT. Was quite confident cause i studied it quite thoroughly. End up i failed :( but Li Hua passed on first attempt. But i never give up, booked my next test date on 19th Jan which is 2 days ago, was having slight fever the night before and when i woke up, i think i never even studied that hard for this FTT, i was even late cause its raining cats and dogs the whole of sat all over singapore. I passed the 2nd time round! 49/50!! :):). So happy can? Was still afraid if i fail again is damn sian la! Li Hua has been waiting for me to apply the PDL together. so kind of her :) Yes we are going to apply it damn soon and start finding our driving instructors :) One step closer to my driving license.

Next up, another big happenings of dec 2012 is the birth of baby Emme. she's born on 12/12/2012. so nice date right? By right she should be out on 13/12/2012, but her mother decide to get induce on 12/12/2012. Almost couldnt make it cause she just dont want to come out lol. In the end she was borned around 10pm that night. I was contacting Karen the whole day wondering whats the progress and should we go down on 12/12 or 13/12 depend son what time baby is out lol. We even bought ready all the gifts and etc. Till a point no reply from her, i know she's in too much pain liao! next moment after i bathe, i receive a message saying baby out liao! :)

Our boss and colleagues went down on 13/12 after work to visit karen and to see baby Emme! She's so small in my arms! I'm glad she did open her eyes when i'm carrying her that time! Anyway Karen gave birth without the use of epidural. super brave girl can? *full respect to her* lol. Her story is well known to our bosses and colleauges. Hopefully i can see her during CNY Luo Hei. By then she's around 2 months old le! hehe.

And last but not least, i attended Love Bonito sales with hazel. Got myself 3 dress from the sales and they are selling at $18 dollars each. Hazel bought 2 dress + 1 top. :)

Anyway the BEST part of the sales is to get to see Love Bonito founders~ They each at different cashiers. So when it was our turn to pay, i'm so glad it was rachel! lol. I treat her as my 女神! She's so pretty and she got a god damn good figure :)

She asked us our names and even ask us where we working and is it far from the sales event. lol. When she asked our names we couldnt reply her. Think we just dumbfounded at that point of time by her beauty. lol. I will defintely go to future love bonito sales if  time allows :)

Have been wanting to try the cupcakes and macrons from pique nique! Hence decided to head to the branch at jcube for some hightea! :)

Ordered the choocolate caramel cupcake and red velvet macron! :) Though i love macron but i wont take more than 2 at a time. haha! The chocolate caramel cupcake is the only one without cream on top hence i chose that! The 4 cubes taste like those sugi we eat during cny!

Boy wanted to eat something thats tart like and thats the only tart like thingy. Passion fruit meringue cake!

And also a pot of earl grey! The tea pots are so cute!

Went to J-Mall at bukit batok! Its their opening! Its actually bon japan! They shifted from orchard central to j mall! Went there to get the rilakkuma set which was on offer! Super good deal! I visited bon japan twice this year. One time was for One Piece Event with boy and the other time with highness for the Rilakkuma Event!
