Last Race of 2014: Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore

It's my first time participating in Standard Chartered Marathon ever since I started running in May 2013.

Every year, my company gives us free slot to run so I'm more than willing to sign up for it. I give it a miss last year and told myself I have to go for this year SCMS. The fees for participating in this marathon is not cheap at all and the race pack has nothing much. I'm glad that I only need to collect the race pack from my company's HR and need not head down to the race expo to queue for it. Heard that the queue is really long!

The day before the race, I kindly agreed to bring my company's vendor from Italy, to the starting line. They heard about our company's people running so they were enthusiastic about it. My colis managed to find two 10km bibs for them, and so that's how I came about bringing them to the start pen :)

The only marathon in Singapore whereby MRT operates much earlier than usual, so we met up at Esplanade MRT before walking to the start pen.

We got caught up in the massive human jam before Anderson Bridge. We took 20 minutes to get through it. I only came to realize they cut off half of the bridge to welcome back the first few runners of the full marathon. Saw a glimpse of them and they were on full speed dashing to the finishing line. Everyone was clapping and cheering for them loudly when they pass by.

Human jam begins here.

Can't believe there's someone out there who have the mood to use selfie stick. No idea if he's trying to see what's going on infront of video recording the whole situation.

The Italians requested for a photo to be taken when we were stuck at the human jam. So I went to find a passerby to help us take a picture using one of their phone.

This was us before the race (the names on their bibs are not their real name lol)

Do-Re-Mi

I truly believed when I looked back in years to come, I will still be smiling at this photo. My other colis who saw this photo say we look like statue smiling to the camera. lol.

That's because they have made my last race of 2014 a really different(in a way good) race.

I was actually quite disappointed when I was caught up in the massive human jam. However, after seeing the Italians still feeling so happy and enthusiastic about the race, I learned to enjoy the race instead of complaining about the human jam. A need to repent and stop complaining about such things in life, because somethings are just uncontrollable.

We finally got out of the human jam after 20 minutes and continue to head on to the starting line. The Italians were dancing to the music and started slow jogging to the start line. I asked them to go ahead first since all of us run at different pace.

Taken about 100 meters before reaching e starting line. The clouds were really beautiful that day.

Put on my ear piece and started my running app and off I go to complete this 10km. My mind was indeed beating my own PB from GEWR 2014  but I told myself to take it easy and not give myself too much stress. Afterall, it's the last race of the year. Just give it my best shot and don't look back.

Saw these 'cosplayers' when I was entering my 2km. I really do admire their effort in dressing up and walking through the 10km. It was indeed a super hot morning that day.

I can't help but keep looking back at them and notice that they were running for a cause. Thumbs up!

My pace for the first 5km was equivalent to that of GEWR. I was quite happy to keep up with it but when the sun came up after that, I had to run the last few km with my mind. Dragging my feet and stopping more than usual, getting thirstier than ever makes everything harder than usual.

The sun was making everyone going bonkers be it whichever category they are running in. The biggest problem that day was the super hot sun which greeted us after 8am.

It's either we run faster and beat the sun, if not we will have to continue running under that hot sun! I have to keep telling myself "I've come this far and this is the last race of the year, I've to perserve, it's not longer about PB, it's about completing it!"

Upon passing the finishing line, we were given free towel! Something really useful because everyone were sweating. Gotten my 100 plus and went to catch up with the Italians. One of them came back before me and one of them after.

It was not hard to spot them at all and we took photos before heading for breakfast.

Accidentally cut my finger while opening the 100plus so that explains the big bandage over my index finger. Really grateful to the volunteers at the first aid station who attended to me, they can't do much but at least they provided me the bandage so as to stop the bleeding.

A group photo with the coli who went (but didn't run and help me to take my stuffs), Italians and me :)

Despite the fact that they arrived only 2 days before the race and am still recovering from jet lag, I admire their determination to complete the race.

Last race of the year checked! And yes I put my favorite nick up on the bib.

More photos from the official marathon photographers...

There were a big group of photographers at that point so I just smile to them. But I can't find any pic which I was directly smiling at them lol. Only had this side view.

Not forgetting, I chose to run the last race of the year with my old kicks because I some sort think my new shoes have not been seasoned well enough yet. Shall season it more and bring it out in 2015!

Completed 8 marathons this year and I can only say it's time to restart the running calendar and start planning for marathons in 2015 :)

Itacho Sushi @ Tampines Mall

A random date with Derp to Tampines Mall because I've been wanting to visit the New Balance outlet located there. I've been wanting to get a new kick as a birthday present for myself.

It's not that my current Nike shoe doesn't serves me well, but I think it's good to have more than 1 pair and not wait till that only pair I have start to wear and tear. By then it's too late, especially if the following week I'm having a race. Shoes need to be season before using them for marathon.

We had a late lunch at around 2pm and we chanced upon Itacho Sushi. Didn't know there's Itacho Sushi at Tampines Mall but best part is there wasn't any queue. It's hard to find places with not much queue at Itacho Sushi. The outlets at Ion orchard and Jem always have long queue!

Yay to no queue which means our food will come faster. We were totally famished!

The sauces were all placed in this build-in holder on the table. This concept is good as it gives you more space to have your meals. Jap restaurants should start to have this concept especially ramen stalls!

It was meant to be a carbo loading meal for me as I'm running GEWR the very next day. But I do think we didn't order that much as I think it will turn out haha!

Here's what we have ordered, mainly salmon base type of sushi :)

Roasted Salmon Roll - $4.0

Very thick salmon, very yummy but it's a little pricey!

Chawanmushi - Can't remember the price but they are very generous with the ingredients inside the Chawanmushi

Fish Roe Sushi and Spicy Fish Roe Sushi if I'm not wrong. All for Derp because he's a fan of that.

And here comes the plate of many salmon sushi!

In clock wise direction: Roasted Salmon with Fish Caviar - $1.60 each, Smoked Duck BreastRoasted Salmon with Cheese - $1.50 Each, Roasted Salmon - $1.30

All of them are really yummy!

No matter how many times I've dined in at Itacho Sushi, I still love the food served by them. Although it may be on the more expensive side as compared to other Sushi restuarants, it does serves high quality and decent sushi. Never fails to disappoint me whenever I need to have my sushi craving fixed! :)

Maple Love Story featured on Singapore Brides | Official 1 Year to Go...

Derp and I got featured on Singapore Brides lately regarding our pre-wedding photoshoot which was taken more than half year ago.

Just in case you have not read yet, the link is http://singaporebrides.com/articles/2014/11/maple-love-story/

Apparently, Asiasoft saw this article before I tell them. I was thinking to wait till the weekend before emailing them. However, things on social media spread faster than anyone can imagine. They email me saying the photos were amazing and they are going to share it on their facebook page too!

Look at the amount of likes O.O! The amount of shares is around 700! Just like what asiasoft told me "the post went quite viral"

Not forgetting our bridal studio, The Louvre Bridal and Coffee and Tea Dreamzcoffee were sharing them too. :)

Months back, our bridal studio called me to inform us regarding this. They have send in our pre -wedding photos to Singapore Brides for a chance to get featured.

Singapore Brides have shortlisted our pre-wedding photos and did the interview with us. You can read more about it on http://singaporebrides.com/articles/2014/11/maple-love-story/ .

Initially, they wanted to post up the full set (we had 4 different themes) of pre-wedding shoot but we decide to let them just post those photos related to Maple Story instead (2 outfits).

There's still some Maple Story photos not posted in the article. We are keeping the rest of the photos for our customary wedding which is happening exactly 365 days from now.

For everyone who shared/like this Maple Love Story, I just want to say a big Thank You

Because in these days, I don't know if anyone still appreciate this kind of old school maple story. So I'm pretty surprise and also glad that there's people out there who appreciate it as much as Derp and I do. Sad to say, those good one 'train like hardcore' days, book map days, fight zakum/horntail days are gone by now.

And if you are wondering, we belong to the pioneer batch of MapleSea.

We saw the birth of the first level 200. There was once when I was a noob(level 100-ish) I even trained with MrYanDao before hahaha! I was just a stand in priest at the time(because his priest went to take a 1/2 hour break) and the exp gained was damn fast. His high level party members can clear the mobs in the sotong map really fast! Oh well, I don't know who train at this places nowadays lol,

Officially 365 days to our customary wedding! We are holding it exactly on our nine and a half years anniversary :)

We have only did the essential stuffs till date but still have many more minor details to handle. We haven't really had time to talk about it but oh well, I do hope we get down to it soon and not procrastinate too much. Hopefully, I don't turn into a bridezilla and that's the reason why we are taking it easy and slowly.

Having a theme wedding is not easy but I believe we will and should enjoy the preparation process. If you are doing for the sake of doing it, it made no sense then. So why not enjoy it? We are aiming to make it a fun and memorable wedding for everyone who's attending!

No idea if I'll be updating this space with any wedding updates, maybe yes but not too often if not it will bore many people I guess.

2015 is going to be really busy and exciting year :)

Last Chapter of the Year - December!

December's a month of festive seasons! Going to work definitely feels much more motivated as compared to the other months,

Less than a week to the last race of the year, I'm praying for good weather that day. I've already registered and still in the midst of planning races for 2015.  Me want go for another one or two 21km marathon next year! #yolo so just do it.

I'll leave all the setting of resolutions for 2015 when month end arrives. A month of reflection and time to think what you have achieved for 2014 and what you want to achieve in the coming year.

I have lots of annual leave to clear and this will mean lots of rest days in December for me.

Yay to me-time and I've got tones of things to do for example wedding stuff. A need to stop procrastinating and I hope I get down to it and not spend my time nua-ing away.

Planning for xmas party at my new house, first xmas and new year countdown in the new crib makes me got excited just by thinking about it. Basically, we are happy just by staying inside the new crib. Nothing beats that feeling.

Derp and I have bought a 4ft xmas tree and in the midst of decorating it. I just had it lighted up all by myself because Derp is off to ICT.  Feeling proud of myself and now the tree just needs more ornaments and it will be done! It's so fun walking around hunting for Xmas decorations. Keeping in mind we are decorating a house which we call our own :)

Since it's the last month of the year, make it count, achieve what you want to or at least start doing something about it :) I hope everyone ends it with a blast! It's gonna be a awesome month.

Commonly Asked Questions Regarding HDB BTO Renovation

First post of December and it shall be a meaningful one!

I've decided to do up a blog post on commonly asked questions from many to me regarding my house.

And I reckoned I should really document it down after repeating it N times to many different people.

Hopefully it will be useful for everyone who's getting their keys really soon :)

Disclaimer: All that I've written is based on my personal experience and not through sponsorship or any special deals.

1) Where and when to start looking for ID/contractors? Difference between ID and contractors.

Derp and I started looking for ID/contractors 3 to 4 months prior to our estimated key collection date. There are hardworking couples out there who started more than a year before their key collection date. It's never too early to start planning for your house likewise for your wedding too.

Before Derp and I went down, we roughly have a idea what we want. It isn't that difficult to know what you want base on the floor plan given to you. Let me give you a simple example, the tv points in the hdb flat are already fixed. You can roughly know where you should be placing your tv console and etc. Unless you wish to spend extra money to relocate the tv point and that will be a different story. (You will get the layout of the different sockets in the house/points for tv/telephone and lights when you entered your house. It's at the circuit breaker box.)

Sit down with your partner, look at the floor plan and discuss it first. Roughly what are the stuffs you want in your living room, bedrooms and kitchen. Houses these days are really small so things are getting more and more standard.

Having said so much, coming up with a theme is important. We decided on Modern Scandinavian. Basically, more than 80% Scandinavian and a little of the modern aspect in some parts of the house.

We started by walking around home fairs at expo. Expos have lots of home/reno fair whole year round after CNY. So do keep a look out. Even if you missed one, next month or so, there will bound to have another one. That's where all the id/contractor company set up their booth and you can have a good chat with them.

Treat it as though you are going to a career fair in your schooling days. Those good old days, I printed out many copies of my resume and hand it over to various companies at a career fair.

Likewise at home/reno fair, I printed out many copies of my floor plan and 'distribute' to potential ID company.

They will likely sit down with you at the expo fair and roughly draw out how they can design the home for you (for example where your dining table should be and etc). If you have any special request (for example a walk in wadrobe), let them know and get a rough idea of how they can design for you.

After they have done with the rough sketch, if you are alright with their 'idea'. You can go ahead and leave your email with them and they will likely email you the quotation in a few days time.

I collected 3 quotations in total because we were really tired by then especially after talking to 3 IDs. This is as good as choosing you ideal bridal studio can? As tiring as that.

This is the floorplan which Derp have come up with at the very beginning. We send this to our ID and asked her to follow up.

Why did we choose ID and not contractor?

We hired a really junior ID to give us a rough idea how the house will look like. Most of the time she's working to our instructions(which both Derp and I prefer instead of one who keeps overwriting our decision)

I know there's contractors out there who double up as ID. Basically, they do a rough sketch on a blank piece of paper for you. For example how your wardrobe will be like and if everything okay, then they will go ahead and do it. But some don't even provide sketch as far as I know.

Derp and I much preferred someone to provide 3d drawing because we will like to see if the laminates we have chose matches on a whole. And the price difference between a junior ID and contractor isn't that much as far as we know.

The 3d image of our living room.

In actual fact, our TV feature wall is not located on that piece of wall. The 3d was done this way to give us a better idea. Our TV feature wall is actually on the opposite wall in real life.

Anywya, I've heard too much horror stories of contractors so we try not to look for them. Lazy go into details here, you can email me about it then if you wish to know.

My ID is the one who come up with a timeline and daily schedule of reno works to be done.

Example of a timeline given by my ID

We hired our own electrician, and also air con supplier. Hence there's much liasing to be done. I need someone there(usually my Id/her workers) to open the door for my electrician/aircon installer.

My electricity wires have to be pulled out first before the cupboards go in and etc. All the points(any additional power supply socket, what kind of lightnings to be at which place) have to be discussed before hand and not forgetting aircon piping! If I were to go into details about it, it's a super long list.

Those were my most stressful days with never ending phone calls throughout the day, and lunch time were often spend at the new place discussing how things should be done with the various people. If I want till after work, they will all be gone.

If anything suddenly goes wrong, my ID will be the first to know and I get her to settle it because we are all at work. She's like our nanny in short, there's once my ikea delivery came in the middle of a weekday so she's the one there to collect for us.

Our ID also provided us with the detailed design of our carpentry, which means the exact measurements of each compartment and the laminate which we have chose for that particular carpentry works.

This was presented to our carpenter and all of us sat down to discuss/finalize before the carpenters start work.

2) Duration of renovation

A typical flat with floors/toilet done up by hdb shouldn't take too long but that's provided if you don't have any hacking to do. It will take usually around 2 months. Mine took nearly 3 after rectifying all the small details that wasn't done properly by my renovator.

There were days whereby no much works are being done because it's more doing the small stuff (example fixing up a glass backing in the kitchen). There's also a 3-4 day gap to let the paint dry overnight before they proceed with the rest of the reno works.

3) Costs of renovation

When people asked me 'so how much does your renovation costs', and after I tell them I get all sorts of answers.

The most common one is  'got include furniture or electronics all this anot huh?'

My total reno costs come up to $30,000 and seriously I don't see how electronics products/aircon and etc can be considered into the reno cost. When you are free with your partner, you should go courts/harvey norman to keep yourselves updated with prices of things these days.

Let me give you a quick and brief breakdown

Aircon - $3000 for system 3 (if you intend to put aircon at living room, it will be $4000)

Tv - Easily $2000 or more depending on the size of the tv/brand/smart or not smart

Fridge, washing machine - Another $2000 or more.

In short, please prepare another $20,000 for electronics and stuff like sofa and dining table! It's really subjective because to some, spending 2K for a sofa is alright but not for some. The price of all these has a very wide range. They are usually counted in thousands and not hundreds.

How can my renovation costs be 10k only (after minus-ing 20K electronics and furniture)? Unless I'm staying in a condo/ executive condo which already comes with lots of stuff. In that case, my renovation cost can be lower. So start saving up people!

I've also came to realize there's never enough money for renovation (unless you are really rich). It's best to have spare cash rather than save just nice for it. Our total renovation costs were few k more than what we had budget it to be. Some hidden costs and there are things you bound to have missed out while negotiating the initial package/price.

We had some additional stuff which were not in the quotation because we do not want to regret. Sometimes the lack of somethings really make the 'feel' of the house really different, After all, it's your first house, There will bound to be mistakes made for overlooking small details. You end up paying more is inevitable.

Btw, build in carpentries are the most expensive part of the renovation. Unless you are making do with off shelves carpentry from shops, if not be prepared to pour money for it.

Costs of renovation is very subjective because to some, setting aside 50K is normal but for some perhaps 20K. Set a budget which is comfortable for both of you, sit down discuss it through and opt things that are unnecessarily out of the quotation if it's really no choice. You can always do it in the near future after you have save enough.

We didn't do up our service yard windows and also grills because our intention was to wait till our little ones to be out first. That probably save ourselves another 1-2K.

4) Quality of renovation

Many a time, the second biggest worry of renovation is the quality of it other than the costs of renovation being the top most factor.

Quality this word is very subjective. You may start reading up forums but my advise to you is to stay neutral.

For my case, I can't really find any comments (be it good or bad) regarding the ID company I engaged to do my house. Sometimes I do think no comments means either they are really new or they did a above average job to satisfy their client so no one are complaining about them.

I bought my sofa and dining table way before my renovation started and I even pay FULL for it. I didn't even think of what if things screw up(delivering the wrong color) or things I ordered will never get delivered to me. I went to read up forum and I see really bad comments regarding the company I bought the sofa and dining table from. Those comments were things like goods getting delayed and a need to hurry them to have your stuff delivered.

Derp and I were worried but we can't do much except to pray for the best. They told us to contact them at least 2 months in advance to arrange for delivery because they had to ship it over from overseas(can't remember what country).

We did that and weeks prior to the delivery date, I still feel very paranoid. I asked Derp to call up the company to confirm the delivery again. They replied that they will only contact us the day before the scheduled delivery date. We did receive a call and they gave us a timing to be at home to wait for them.

On the day of delivery, I can only cross my fingers and wait. Indeed they came on time, everything was what I wanted and nothing went wrong with the orders. Colour and design of the sofa and dining table is as promised by the sales person. They aren't that bad as what people have wrote about them on forum! I suspect there might be mis-communication between them, or the buyer may have forgot about the 2 months in advance terms and condition.

My point is, stay neutral! If you are so easily sway by other people comments, the whole renovation process will be really tiring and stressful for you.

Another tip for new homeowners is to visit any on-going or completed project that is done by the ID/Contractor. You can check out their workmanship and hey if there's completed project for your to view, it will means the rapport between the homeowner and ID/Contractor is good right? Do ask if they have other ongoing projects while handling yours, if there is any, do question them how often they will come up to your place and how will they handle the various projects at the same time.

4) Stay calm and keep a cool head

Renovation is not as simple as paying the money and everything is done perfectly for you.

Throughout this period of time, I'm thankful to have friends/coli who are going through the same process as me. They are the ones who truly understand how I feel and we are on the same side as a client. So at times, you just need a listening ear and after that you'll feel better.

And I have friends who are doing their renovation now who will on and off tell me their complains. I believe it's a normal process and I will do my best to be the listening ear. I haven't see one who don't have complains about their renovation before. Unless they are angel! It's normal to feel unhappy because it's never easy to manage humans.

You will not want to destroy the bridge between you and the contractors/ID hence I can only say work things out in the right way. Don't ever be nasty to them because you never know what kind of nasty stuff they might do to your house! I strongly believe if you are kind to them, they'll be kind to you too :)

Stay calm and enjoy the renovation process. The sense of satisfaction after that is really great especially when you start hearing people praising how nicely done up your house is.

It's a period of time whereby you will learn things not being taught in school or by your parents. Everything is through your personal experience!

"It won't be easy, but it'll be worth it"

Birthday Lunch @ Ice Edge Cafe

Finally a day to sleep in late and that's because it's my birthday! :)

Birthday #OOTD. Wearing back one of my romper from Love Bonito.

We set off to the birthday lunch venue around 12+pm. It's just a few MRT station away so we reached there by 1pm. The other time, I was at that area for Brunch @ Lola's Cafe. Both cafes are really near to each other and I've been wanting to come back to try Ice Edge Cafe since there's a hype about it too. Especially the waffles!

Ice Edge Cafe is located just a few minutes walk from Kovan MRT station.

Btw, they don't open for brunch but instead from lunch time onwards.

The mains' menu.

Their desserts and drinks menu.

Interior of the cafe.

We went there on a weekday lunch and this cafe attracts working adults to dine in there and also students who came in for their waffle ice cream fix! It was quite packed but there's seats for us.

They are having 1 for 1 mains under their weekday lunch promotion. When the waitress inform us, I was quite surprise and at the same time it do made my trip there more worthwhile. Now I seems to know why the working adults and students will head there for lunch. It's totally worth it!

We wanted to order 2 same type of mains but were persuaded by the manager not to. This is so that we can try a variety of food from them. We were both lovers of seafood aglio olio but in the end we only ordered 1 of this to share and also another mains.

Seafood Aglio Olio Spaghetti - 16.80

Their Seafood Aglio Olio tastes really good! Somehow I can't cook till this standard leh. Derp and I keep tasting and thinking what actually do they put into it to make it so yum.

My birthday date :)

Another mains which we ordered is the Pesto Cream Chicken - $17.80

Pesto Cream Chicken is one of their signature dish too. The Pesto sauce compliments well with the chicken.

Mandatory shot!

I can't finish it in the end and got to share with Derp. That's because I did took some of his seafood aglio olio to eat beforehand lol. The potato wedges are really very filling.

We were thinking of giving the dessert a miss but ice cream waffles is their signature dish. I will feel that I've never been there if I never order the ice cream waffle.

We sat down and rest awhile before we went to order our desserts. The ice cream waffles are to be ordered from the counter and you get to try the flavors first before confirming your order.

Lots of flavors to choose from!

We decided on a scoop of ice cream on the waffle. Good enough since we were already quite full and we reckon we should have waffle to go with the ice cream. We often feel really cold after eating just ice cream itself so mixing it with hot waffle seems to be a better choice.

So pretty! Can't bear to eat. We ordered the Hershey's flavour ice cream if I never remember wrongly. Costs around 10 bucks.

A photo with my Derp. Substitute the birthday cake for the ice cream waffle.

We walked around Kovan area before we head to take train to NEX for our movie date. A rare weekday movie date! :)  Can't help but to shop for some necessities for the house whenever we are outside nowadays and there's tonnes of stuff at Kovan!

We caught Fury. A show starring Brad Pitt! It's a not bad show but it has a sad ending,. :(

Last photo taken with Derp before our movie commence.

I'll definitely go back to have their waffles again. But not their main dish because without the 1 for 1 promotion, it's really expensive. So best time to go is during weekday lunch!

I was reminded that it was my first birthday as Mrs Goh.

Thanks you Derp for keeping me happy the whole day and it's been really long since we go out on a date so carefree-ly. Without having to rush home to do all the household chores and etc. I ended my birthday with a 1 hour yoga. It's  definitely rejuvenating enough to get some stretch on your birthday. :)

That's all for my birthday post. Hope it didn't bore you too much after reading this.

Crossing my fingers to complete a blog post regarding HDB BTO renovation really soon. December is coming really soon, shall talk about the goals for the last month of the year soon too!

The celebration of another year older..

When I was 15/16 back then, I've this small little wish which I kept to myself and the wish is about getting married at 25. As I grew older, I never think that much anymore because as you grow older, you know getting married is a really BIG thing( It wasn't as easy as I think it will be, shall not go into details).

And then thinking back to myself, I really did got myself married off at the age of 25 (to be exact 9 months before I turned 26)

Never did I knew that the little wish I made when I was young came true. Got married to my soul mate, gotten our own crib, what more can I asked for? Probably good health, and everyone around me to be safe and happy always :)

Anyway, when Derp asked me what do I want to do on my birthday this year, I can't really think of anything. It's only till the week before that I finally decided on something. I was thinking along the line of keeping it low and simple.

I just wish to have a quiet birthday, not going to somewhere crowded and even if it means spending the full day inside our new crib I'm okay. The thought of taking leave and doing nothing somehow make me feel I'm wasting time so I decided to do something in the end.

But oh well, I'll blog about my 26th birthday celebration in another post because this post is about my birthday presents this year! hahaha!

We went to collect my presents the weekend before my birthday. So my presents came early! yay!

A shot with my presents!

A #flatlay of it.

All of them were from taobao! Weeks before my birthday I told Derp I will add my birthday presents into his cart and he will check out for me hahaa! And if you have realized, all of them are cooking/baking related. I'm into baking with air fryer lately and I can't find a proper muffin holder in my new kampung.

Taobao has many cupcakes/muffin design! I had a good time looking at them on taobao. and not forgetting, the Rilakkuma apron which  Derp got for me. I didn't had a apron and when I wash stuff, I always splash myself. I came to realized I should do something which is to wear a apron whenever I cook.

Ta dah! Wore my apron that night to cook :):) Pardon for the sports attire!

Derp got me a cake and we cut it when the clock strikes 12 midnight that day. My first birthday in the new crib! The feeling is very different. It's like marking the start of a new life, independent life I will call it.

Very yummy cookies and cream cake from Prima Deli

He look like he's going to set the whole place on fire lol.

Me getting ready to pose with the cake..

Yay!

Trying to take a shot together with the cake and Rilakumma but fail.

A good enough shot :)

Another year older in the new crib, just the 2 of us. Nothing much I can ask for hence my birthday wish this year is pretty simple. Shall not say out if not it won't come true haha!

Thanks Derp for being there by my side on my birthday like you always do. Not a need for fanciful celebration or presents, your presence is more than enough. Celebrating it in our new crib is meaningful enough.

Stay tune to my actual day birthday celebration but don't expect any exciting posts because it's simply another dating day :):)
