Derp and I woke up to yummy buffet breakfast by Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kao Shiung. :) Probably one of the best hotel breakfast We had throughout our stay in Taiwan.
Derp's Cereal as usual.
My breakfast that day and not forgetting the yogurt drink.
Derp's breakfast after his cereal.
We don't really wish to eat too full afterall We are heading to the theme park! lol. Don't really wish to feel uncomfortable later on, that will totally spoil our holiday mood.
Themepark entrance.
Our tour guide bought the tickets for us and then send us in before meeting us at 5pm that day :)
E-Da's themepark auspicious character. His name is Da-E. LOL.
At 10:20AM there's a mascot coming out to greet the guest, but no one have any idea who it will be. It can be any one from the E-Da theme park character. Of cause I was hopping for Da-E to pop out but I think he will only come out at the later part of the day.
Anyway, this donkey character was the one who came out instead. It don't look as cute and if you realise he carry carrots around. That's quite funny looking. Okay, Da-E also got his own weapon lol.
Saw the blue tall looking ride behind? That's the most scary/well known ride at E-Da Theme Park. But it was under maintenance hat day, if not Derp would probably drag me up for this.
We went for a indoor water show since the timing was just right. Nth special about the show, just a lady performing on a ground which shoot out water(same as the bugis junction fountain whereby a lot of kids love to play there), added on with colourful lightnings in the darkness.
The more We took photos with Da-E, the more We feel like bringing him home haha! Which We ended did.
We took a monorail ride to the other part of the theme park. Actually it's of walkable distance hence We walk back in the end because the monorail have timing to set off from one end to the other.
Saw this scary looking pirate ship. I'm alright with the normal pirate ship but not this. lol. Derp totally not a fan of pirate ship.
One of the water attraction which We was suggested to go by the staff there. We felt cheated to take that ride, will talk more about it later.
We sat the bumper car for our first ride since there's no people. The staff let us go twice continuously ::):). Anyway is unlimited ride at all the attractions.
The staff recommended us to take the "Taiwan Formosa" ride which they claim to be a very nice ride especially for visitors from overseas.
The staff recommended us to take the "Taiwan Formosa" ride which they claim to be a very nice ride especially for visitors from overseas.
Basically a 4D ride whereby they swing you to and fro. Somewhat like our USS transformers ride, you feel as though you move a lot but actually you are at the same spot afterall. The screen shows you the different attractions of different parts in Taiwan and is in bird eye view :)
We also sat this lame ride which is meant for kids lol. You used your legs to cycle to go high up. But of cause there's a maximum la! Derp and I cycled like mad during the start and got tired later on. -_-".
They translate bicycle from hokkien to chinese!
We went up to the highest level which is open air. There's some more rides on top.
Another kiddy ride. Btw. their basement is full of kiddy rides.
This ride is more exciting than it seems to be. I instantly felt the giddyness once the ride is over when I'm back to land. We really fly damn far la! Derp and I can't sit together because We got to balance the weight around this thingy.
Oh, in actual fact We sat twice. First time it was with a mother and her daughter. Her daughter was screaming and crying like mad once We are at the highest point and the staff got to stop the ride. So ya, We went again the 2nd time with another couple.
The staff recommended us to go take this junior roller coaster. I know you must be wondering why all the staffs so good one. lol. Cause there wasn't much people in the theme park yet. The visitors start coming in after lunch. Btw, this junior roller coaster is damn nice! Don't be cheated by the name that it's no kick, the roller coaster go forward and backwards at high speed. I got a bruise from this ride thanks to all the sharp turns!
Went down to the kids level to take some photo and look at their rides.Pikachu!
We went for the Dark Ride too. This was one of the first few rides We wanted to take but because they need at least 8 people then operate, so We happily pass by and saw our tour mates queuing for this ride and We join in too :)
The ride was not bad but not really exciting at all but We went twice continuously :)
Derp look so tiny under the humogous trojan horse!
Okay spot me now? haha!
Next, We took the Flume Ride. It is a water ride, so We were warned that We will get wet.
Bought the raincoats to protect ourselves.
The ride totally remind me of the water log ride in Escape Theme Park. It just slowly bring you up and release you down at fast speed. And yup thank goodness We bought the raincoat, the girl beside me was totally drenched. She's really brave to go ahead without raincoat.
The staff suggested us to go over to this horrible ride since We bought our raincoat.
Why do I say so? Cause it's god damn hot and I think I gotten myself 1 tone tanner after this boring lame ride. You sat onto the slow moving boat and start shooting people/objects with the water gun they attached to your boat. We were sweating like mad! And there wasn't any people for us to aim at -_-". It suppose to be a water battle!
We went to cool down at one of their souvenirs shop/cafe. Derp's t-shirt was all wet and because his shirt is light grey, hence is damn obvious lol. Derp kept encouraging me to get the E-Da theme park toy Da-E because he think it is cute. So while he's drying himself, I went to get it. I manage to get some discount thanks to the coupon given by them when We purchased the theme park tickets.
Say HI to my Taiwan "friend". :)
We intend to see what's not covered to cover it and go for lunch thereafter. And yup around 12++pm We left the place.
The scary yet exciting pirate ship. I did see it people taking the ride and my legs shivered lol.
We went to took some indoor rides as Derp want to dry himself more. lol.
This 4D ride is the last ride We took. It was also one of the first few rides We wanted to take but it was not opened then!
With my new Taiwan 'friend'
The 4D ride is exactly the same as Sentosa one! I remember sitting it in Sentosa before, just that this time it's in chinese. -_-". I thought what would it be, it's not something new to us. So disappointing but at least We get to enjoy the air con? lol.
With Derp outside E-Da theme park.
Good bye E-da Theme Park!
We were famished by then and it's time for lunch!
E-Da outlet mall.
To walk from one end to the other is a bitch, the area is just too big. We were hunting down for their Mcdonalds btw. Not forgetting to take photos along the way :)
Me with the greek gods. In the previous post, I did post up a similar picture but without me inside lol!
Doraemon!
:)
Our Mcdonalds lunch! Their fries sucks, you can really feel they re-fry for many many times. But the burger is nice because their chicken is simply different from the ones you eat locally :)
Shop around and We went up for the ferris wheel ride.
The ferris wheel cabin decorated with E-Da world characters. Okay, We sat in the donkey one again. lol.
Our hotel :)
Seriously, look like some rich people stay there because of the amount of private estates they have there.
Ending this post with a retarded picture of me. I kept telling Derp that she's looking at me. LOL. I really feel I irritate him max. haha! She's also one of the characters in E-Da theme park and she got a twin brother lol. Ya similar to Little Twin Star that 2 characters. :)
Took this photo wihile passing our last 1 hour in E-Da Outlet Mall. The stuffs in E-Da outlet mall are more expensive and nth speical. We went out to the flea market outside E-Da mall to shop rather than staying inside. Derp bought t-shirt and I bought hair accessories for myself at the flea market. I did saw a dress there but didn't get it because it's not in anyway cheaper.
Will be back to blog about Liu He Night Market! It's a very nice and cosy night market :):)
Read about my Taiwan Trip here:
Hi! How big is E Da compared to Universal Studios Singapore? Can I complete everything in 3-4 hours?
ReplyDeleteHi there!
ReplyDeleteIf you are going on a weekend it would probably take more than 3-4 hours because there would be more tourists hence the queue for rides would be long.
If you are going on a weekday, 3-4 hours is definitely more than enough :)However if you are going there with your children, I think more time would be needed because there are more kids ride than adult rides hence more time would be needed.
But if is an all adult group going there, I believe 2-3 hours would be fine on a weekday because there isn't much queue :) Hope my information helps!
