It was one of our another typical date night after our gown fitting for photoshoot.
Everything was settled within 3 hours and no doubt it was tiring. We were famished by then and would just popped in to any restaurants which have the shortest queue to have our dinner.
Our bridal studio was near to Raffles City Shopping Centre and we roamed around the basement and settled down at Grandma's for our dinner. They have recently open a branch in Jurong Point but I've yet to try it yet.
As the name suggest, Grandma's serves mainly local food and they are famous for their local delights such as Nasi Lemak, Laksa and etc. Their menu are quite extensive and they also serves local tze char food :)
The yummy prawn crackers as appetizer. Glad to have this because we were really hungry while waiting for our food to be served.
We decide to order their tze char food and we over ordered as usual.
Stir Fried Dou Miao with Garlic. A pretty decent dish.
Claypot Beancurd with Seafood. The portion was really huge.
I can't really remember the name of this egg. But it comes with lots of prawns and onions inside.
The portion of all the dishes were comparable to those tze char stalls at coffee shop. They were generous with their ingredients too.
Overall, the dining experience was not bad at Grandma's. Our total bill came up to $40 and we did ordered their grass jelly drink which is going at $1 per cup. The service wasn't too bad and I can tell they were really busy and short handed on a public holiday eve. Our food came fast too.
It's expensive for tze char food or should I say the more atas type of tze char restaurant since it's located in a air con place hence that explains the price.
