It's my 3rd consecutive year joining the 2XU Compression Run.
2XU Compression Run has soon became my mandatory races because of the attractive loyalty rates and their nice looking running top. Not only that, the race has been well organized and provide a good running experience all these years.
The race pack collection was swift and smooth. There weren't long queues because of the many counters available during the race pack collection.
I can't remember if there's any race pack collection which was poorly organized lately as they seems to have taken in feedbacks from runners and improved a lot over the years.
In the past, it was queuing for more than half or an hour for race pack. These days, it usually rook us a maximum of 10 mins or less to collect the race pack.
This year runner's entitlement is the extra 2XU Polo Tee (on top of their running top).
Derp and I were late on race day opps! So we totally missed the official flag off.
Runners strolling to the starting line despite being late already..
Almost reaching the starting line and the sun was not up by then.
Since I was already late, might as well take the mandatory pre-race shot first before running haha! Sleepy face with half-opened eyes as usual lol.
Scenic view while running..
The route was good with sufficient water points. The weather was good that day too. Not much of a bottle neck during the race but what caught us by surprise was the human jam right after the race.
There were many booths for the HM's finisher (and they were very empty) but only a few booths for the 10km runners. Everyone was very sweaty and sticky, and of course very thirsty but yet we had to wait quite sometime before getting our drink and medal.
Hopefully they can improve on this aspect for next year.
Our finisher #welfie shot with the medal!
The post race shot :)
Last but not least, a running pic of us.
I hope the black running top will return for next year race and am looking forward to the type of freebie they will be throwing in this time round because it seems to different for every year :)
