Review: Only Aesthetics

I've been a Only Aesthetics customer for nearly 2 years. I've had my underarm ipl treatment, facial treatment and just lately I've signed up for their Brazilian IPL. I've just done my 3rd treatment lately. They basically groom me from top to toe.

 I would talk more on each treatment at the later part of my blog posts. My consultant name is Wei Wei, okay I think she's not a consultant yet but Wei Wei did all my treatments for me. :) 

I still remember me unknowingly bought the unlimited qpx underarm treatment 2 years ago(from groupon), and diligently go for my treatment every month for the first 1 year. The first half year or so, I've got to walk to Holland Village from bunoa vista for my treatment. How inconvenient it is right? It's like a 10 minutes walk. But after the circle line was set up and functioning, it's sooo much convenient now!

After more than a year of treatment, I don't really need to shave my underarm hair and I would just need to go there every 2 months. Wei Wei would shaved it for me before she did IPL on my underarm. By then, my underarm hairs are lesser and finer. No one would notice it unless they really go up close to see it. My life has since become easier then because all this unsightly hairs are gone! 

Oh ya btw, plucking is forbidden when you are under IPL treatment because you are just making your hair follicles at the armpit get bigger. 

I guess many must have been wondering whether the process is painful?

 I would say a little but it's totally bearable(as compared to Brazilian. I will talk more about it later). The whole process took  less than 5 minutes for both arms, fast, short and sweet process! 

I've stop my IPL treatment since my last session ends and didn't renew it since I don't have much hair left on my armpit now. Probably less than 5 strands on each armpit and baby hair. They are all really short because they don't grow as fast as in the past. I'm glad that their IPL underarm treatment works and I've got no worries now plus the fact that my work dress are 90% sleeveless.

The trolley on the right is all the facial equipment and product they used and the TV on top are used to play soothing songs during the treatment process. The songs are really useful when I'm having my facial treatment. I felt totally relax during the masking time and I often fall asleep even before then.

I've started my facial treatment with them around a year ago too and I've just renewed it recently. Around 1 year ago, as usual I went for my IPL treatment, Wei Wei finds that my face is full of outbreak which is the truth. I've felt quite zzz that time because I've no idea what caused the outbreak especially on my forehead which is filled with pimples and all these stuck with me for more than a week. -_-". 

Wei Wei suggested me to try their facial treatment which I of cause didn't know they did facial too because I've always thought they deal with removal of hair only. She will soften my pores with a cottonpad dip with a pore softener and placed it all over my face, next She will start the extraction process after which it's time for laser treatment which will close up my pores followed by masking session to tighten the pores :) 

That what happens for the past 12 treatments and now, I no longer go there on a monthly basis but more on a 1.5-2 months basis because my face is so much easier to maintain now. I did asked her whether do I need to get other treatment once my package is up but She suggested me to continue this since the effects is good plus it's affordable.

As I mentioned earlier regarding me signing up Brazilian IPL with them. I hesitated quite a while before going for it but I decide to just go for it for hygiene purposes and also I want to go swimming/snorkelling. I've always think that shaving is only a temporary cure, the hair grows back fast and  it's not easy to do it on your own. 

I still remember clearly how's my first session of Brazilian IPL goes like. It's quite awkward to expose your private area to others though I've known Wei Wei for more than a year. But it's still weird la! lol. 

On the first session, She have to shave for me first before she do the IPL on the area. She's kind enough to offer me a towel to cover my eyes and I gladly agreed lol. At least I do not have to see it. The whole session lasted for 10-15 minutes. Really fast process huh? :)

Just after 2 sessions, the hair follicles have become finer and thiner and they don't grow that fast anymore. Btw, you will feel the itch (Itch like a bitch) after the first session but as you do it more often, you won't feel it anymore. I guess it's due to the growing of the new hair which is poking the tender skin at that area. Totally bearable, just feel irritated but I've goggled that putting baby powder might helps to ease the itch, I didn't try it though.

As compare to underarm IPL, I feel Brazilian IPL is a little more painful but the pain is for that few seconds when the light go down. Probably the skin at the underarm area is not so tender as compared to the private area. I've still got a long way to go for my Brazilian IPL.
