Xmas 2015 Celebration

Another year has whiz past and it's Xmas celebration once again.

It's our 2nd year celebrating Xmas in the house. The very first thing we did after the wedding is to get the Xmas decorations up because it's less than a month to Xmas.

Hello Xmas Tree! We meet again :)

I always find it a joy decorating the tree despite having to standby a vacuum cleaner to pick up strands of fake leaves from the Xmas tree.

And this year, we added in the fake snow frost decoration. A little DIY going on there to get the festive mood up. Great sense of achievement even though the whole process created quite a mess lol!

On Xmas Eve, we had a simple home prepared feast with bil and sil.

#onthetable - Roasted Black Pepper Beef (Bought from NTUC, all we need is to heat up), salad, spaghetti with tomato puree sauce(filled with mushrooms) and some cheese cubes.

A #welfie before dining in.

We also opened a bottle of Wolf Blass's Mosacto on this special occasion.

After the Xmas dinner, we played Wii since it's been awhile we 'touched' the Wii.

Before the night ends, we had our dessert which is the Xmas cake. If you noticed, I didn't use the word logcake because it's not in a log shape but however a round shape.

Xmas Cake done by Sugar by J

My only requirement was that it should look Instagram worthy haha! And indeed it's a cute cake with xmas feel. Btw, they were the ones doing up the dessert table for my wedding too. Will share more on the blog when I get down to blog on the actual day wedding.

And so we squeeze in for a #welfie again but this time round with the xmas cake and tree haha!

Just as we were enjoying the cake, we thought we could preserve the Santa Clause made of fondant but it started to melt :( And so I went to consult Claire & Jase (Owners of Sugar by J, also my real life friends) why it happened and that's because it's too moist hence the Santa Clause start falling apart :(

The aftermath of the Xmas Celebration. It look like he's being murdered by us opps! haha!

This pretty sums up my Xmas 2015 celebration. Gone were the days of squeezing with the crowd and counting down, spending time at home with family members is much preferred these days :)
