02/05/2015 - Off to Klang to attend #jasewedsclaire Day 2 Part 2 -Wedding Dinner @ Grand Centro Ballroom

Back with part 2 of Day 2 of #jasewedsclaire, the wedding dinner! I've been looking forward to the food served during the wedding dinner because they are really different from those banquet food that's served locally.

Anyway, you can read about #jasewedsclaire's gate crash and holy matrimony here

We had some free time after we return to the hotel so we went to Tesco again. Bought more snacks back to the hotel and at the same time we had a chance to get bubble tea as the weather was really hot. If I'm not wrong, there's Chat time at JB City Square too. I can't really remember whether did I try it before anot haha.

The variety of drinks they served.

We had the usual passion fruit green tea.

Random #welfie

We went back to our hotel to rest again before getting ready for the wedding dinner. Jase has arrange his friends/relatives to pick us up around 6pm from the hotel.

#lbootd taken at the full height windows lift lobby!

The car ride from our hotel to the banquet venue is approximately 20 minutes. The ballroom is in a shopping mall called Grand Centro.

The wedding photos display area. Claire has printed lots of their photos out to display it at the reception area.

More than 50 tables in the ballroom!

The so-call 'guest-book' which Claire's Mum hand painted it. So talented!

Another couple pic! ( I do realise we didn't took that much photos together for this trip haha!)

With the beautiful bride once again..

#welfie with the ladies..

One more group photo!

We went in shortly after to take our seats before the banquet starts. A lot of people were going near the stage because something caught their attention...

Which is the handmade wedding cake by the groom himself!

Very pretty wedding cake right?

I've no idea how they port it over to Klang from Singapore haha! Oh well, when there's a will there's a way.The design on every tier of the wedding cake represents their love story (from how they met till the proposal!)

I do love attending weddings like such beacuse it's really heartwarming to see/get to know the story of the couple.

The couple had their first march in and proceed on to the cake cutting ceremony..

After the cake cutting ceremony, the food was served shortly after. The first four dishes were as follow..

The appetizer which taste really good! Or perhaps we were just too hungry.

Can't really remember what soup is this but we can't really appreciate it. haha!

Very fattening Crispy Pork Skin

Totally no meat at all so it's really fat die everyone of us. In Singapore, we hardly see this served these days.

The Braised Fish!

Another photo with Derp since we were waiting for the 2nd march in.

We had the standard yum seng and everything after the popping of champagne.

And the 5th to 8th dishes were served while the couple go around for table shots.

This Prawn dish is really very yummy!

One whole Braised Chicken for us. Haha! The meat was really soft but by this dish we can't stuff ourselves much.

2nd last dish - Glutinous Rice

The rice was really really good and easily beat any glutinous rice I ate in Singapore. But I was too too full to have anymore food so I can only manage to eat down a few mouths of it :(

The last dish was this Red Bean Pastry and Osmanthus Jelly cake.

Can't really remember the full name of it but the red bean pastry was awesome. It's made using the pastry skin of the 'butterfly' and wrap with 'hum jin peng' red bean filling.

Manage to have a quick photo with the bride before she was hijacked again by some other guests.

We reached back our hotel around 11pm. We went back in batches. Derp and I hop on to Jase's Brother's car back to the hotel. They were the ones who pick us up and now fetching us back. Really thankful for the hospitality they have given to us :)

The handmade doorgift by the groom himself.

He made all this cookies by himself in a day! That's like nearly 600 of them. And I've no idea how they transport it to Klang though.

I ate them up the very next day after I touched down in Singapore (minus the fondant part).

All this little thoughts they put into their wedding has definitely inspired Derp and I to go the extra miles for our own wedding :)  Not going to reveal any details yet because we are still in the process of finalizing some stuffs.

Alright, that's all for the wedding dinner of #jasewedsclaire

Be back to update the last tiny bit soon!
