We celebrated our anniversary 1 day after our actual day of the anniversary. That's because our anniversary falls on a Thursday. Friday seems to be a better day to celebrate since it's TGIF.
Since we already had a staycation @ MBS as a form of early celebration, we decide to have a simple dinner for the actual day celebration. In the first place, I almost wanted to cook at the new house and have some candle light dinner together lololol. Maybe next year then!
My #OOTD for our 8th year anniversary dinner. I'm wearing Love Bonito's Carlynn Dress. :) Have done a review of this dress quite sometime ago but I'm just going to say it again, I love the prints and how flattering it is.
My accessories of the day.
It's been a long time since I wear them together. Seriously, it does gets in the way especially if you are doing household chores. There's too much things to do after you got your own house, I'm pretty sure you won't want to damage that diamond from your love one :)
We almost went back to Dozo but were thinking of trying places we didn't went before. We ended up going to The Cathay Restaurant to have their set dinner.
We came across this restaurant during our photoshoot and their food looks pretty decent. I went online to search more about it and find out that they do have set dinner and the price is affordable. No buffet for us because it's really not worth it, and trust me we were quite worried if the set dinner's portion is alot too! But it turns out just nice for us, and it's actually quite filling!
The set meal that we ordered. They do have the $58 per person set meal which serves shark fins. We didn't choose that because we don't support eating of shark fin. #saynotosharkfins

Fish maw soup which tasted not bad :)
Steamed prawns with chinese wine. Tasted good too. We are pretty satisfied with the portion up till this point and this is per person portion.
Pan fried pork chop with special sauce.
This is good but the meat is not lean at all. I've to keep cutting the fats away and it's not easy though to cut/chew the fatty parts.
Fish with black fungus and lily bud.
I don't really like the taste of the fish because it's a little too bitter for my tastebud. But I must say, the fish is really fresh. I prefer the normal way of cooking fish which is served with light soya sauce.
Fried Rice with X.O Sauce
We were really full by then but we know we had to squeeze down the rice. We slowly ate the rice with their chilli sauce. Btw, their chilli sauce is really spicy as compared to the chilli at other chinese restaurant (Ding Tai Fung/ Crystal Jade). It's really good!

We headed off to buy lots of stuffs from Daiso @ Plaza Singapure for our new house :) And that's how we celebrate our 8th year anniversary. Many many more years to come!
