Collecting the Marriage Certificate

On 20th February, We went down to the Registry of Marriage early in the morning for our appointment to collect the certificate. The appointment date to go down to the Registry of Marriage is given once you have done the efiling. It's usually 3-5 days before the actual day of your wedding date.

FYI:  You have to Efile on ROM website 3 months prior to your solmenization date. That's the earliest date you can efile and the latest date is 21 days prior to your solmenization date.

I've been to the Registry of Marriage quite a few times and have always find it a hassle to reach there because of the uphill slopes. Hence, we don't wish to have our solmenization held there. Trust me, when we reached there we were sweating and super unglam. I don't wish my guests to sweat so much on my big day.

On our appointment day, we walked from Cityhall to Fort Caning. It took us quite sometime because I brought Derp to the wrong direction lol! We basically had a nearly 30 minutes walk before reaching there.

Of course there was an appointment time given to us, but we are allow to be late for up to 1 hour if I'm not wrong. Phew! We were late for 10 minutes or so.

Our Queue Number: 0009! 长长久久!

The queue moves very fast because there were many counters.

Less than 5 minutes of waiting we were being called in. We submit the documents required, and each of us take turn to take an oath. Basically to swear that we are there on our own accord and all the documents are declared correctly. :)

Around 10 minutes and we are done! We have to safe keep the marriage certificate till our solmenization date and remember to bring it to our solmenization venue, and hand over everything to our Justice of Peace.

We headed to Tiong Bahru Bakery @ Raffles City Shopping Centre to have our breakfast. Feels so shiok to slowly enjoy our breakfast on a weekday morning. :) Derp and I love their stuffs a lot and we will usually ta bao their croissant back whenever we pass by.

Derp's hot chocolate.

My juice and my favourite croissant!

#OOTD that day.

We went down to the new house that day to finalize a lot of stuff with our ID since both of us are on 1 day leave. Suppose to be relax and rest enough for the big day but who knows we were so damn tired even before our ROM. -_-".

Just one part of the planning works we have done that day..

Alright be back with more updates on my ROM :)  I do have quite a lot of things to say about the staycation at Swissotel Merchant Court. Stay tuned!
