HoneyBee @ Casuarina Road

I went to explore a new part of Singapore with the colleagues last Friday. I was really busy last week and didn't spend much lunch time with the colleagues. I've been running to and fro new house and office during lunch time.

I'm totally drained but it beats having to go down after work though. I can't expect the ID/Workers to wait for me till evening time. Some instructions are better to be conveyed through mouth than over whatsapp or any other messaging form.

I've heard of Biscuit King for a pretty long time and they are famous for old school biscuits! I never knew that they were located quite near to our office, It can be reached there with a straight bus from the office and less than 10 stops away! There's other eateries located at Casuarina Road and we went to try!

We are always glad to know of new places to have our lunch because it's getting really boring at times. It's good to head out to explore once in awhile. Btw, we are sick of AMK hub too!

We reached there around 12+pm. I do thought there will be lunch crowd, but surprisingly only the famous prata there is crowded. There are other restaurants there which sells Western, Japanese cuisine and Chinese tze char. Heard that there's a famous tze char there but I think it only open for dinner. The prata place was full house so we gave it a miss.

After walking 1 round, we decided to have lunch at Honey Bee. One of our colleague actually went there before for dinner, and the food is not that cheap for their dinner/supper. It's actually a pub at night. However, they have lunch time special promo so we went ahead and gave it a try.

The 6 of us ordered the HoneyBee Chicken.  It's their signature and I think it really look much like Poulet Chicken.

The deco of the restaurant is nice..

Our lunch set comes with a drink. I had the mango juice!

Our main course took quite sometime to come. There was only 1 chef and he himself have to cook 3 whole chickens for us (since each of us get half a chicken). The food took about 1/2 hour to arrive. We were rewarded with hot and freshly cooked HoneyBee chicken after waiting for so long.

Hereby presenting to you the HoneyBee Chicken. It does look like Poulet isn't it? haha!

In a nutshell, the dining experience at HoneyBee wasn't that bad given that they have affordable lunch promo.

The HoneyBee chickwn would have been better if it were to be cooked a little longer. The chicken it's not as soft as though compared to poulet, we reckoned that the chef was in a rush to whip up the dish for us, hence the chicken is not cooked properly.

We popped over to Biscuit King which is just next door to take a look and get our snacks. That place is heaven for old school lovers. hahaha!

I was so tempted to buy the ring pop which costs 40 cents! There's so many hidden treasures around the shop and sadly, you no longer find those in neighbourhood mama shop.

I was spoiled for choice as to which biscuits to buy but in the end I bought Derp's favourite pineapple biscuit for him. It comes with airtight container and this packaging is more expensive because of the container! But it serves as a good snacks/teabreak for those working deskbound jobs.

Bought Derp's favourite jelly for him too..

Don't be surprised to find old school stuff during my housewarming because Casuarina Road can be reached easily from my new house too, just 1 bus down hehe! I've been telling Derp to let's go there and stock up in the near future after we've moved in to our new place. Maybe we can have a old school theme housewaming lol! Alright, we shall see.

I'll definitely head back there again to try the prata and other food there! :)
