The Fiancé Birthday Celebration Part 2 - Irodori Japanese Restaurant Dinner Buffet

After the ice skating session we had on his birthday, yea a session which caused us  me to had really bad muscle ache, we went for early dinner at Irodori Japanese Restaurant

Hearing much good reviews about the place, and it's not that costly, we decided to go for it. But I'm hoping it's the last buffet dinner we ever had, we will probably avoid buffet at all costs in the near future. lol.

We were there before they are ready to open for dinner service, we hanged around the hotel for awhile.

Btw, Irodori Japanese Restaurant is located in Riverview Hotel

There's many credit card promotion going on :)

A shot in the hotel couch while waiting.

Selfie time! and pardon for the huge arms.

We were the first few who went in and I'm glad we make a reservation.

It may seems that nobody patronize it, but I'm surprise by the number of people who visited it on a weekday night when I left. It was full house on a weekday night!

The appetizer which I can't really appreciate.

The buffet menu! The variety was really good. :)

Below are the food that we have ordered from the menu..

Free flow of thick slices of sashimis!

Fried Tuna/Fish. I can't really remember but it was a complimentary dish from the chef. It tastes really good :)

Chawanmushi

We shared the garlic fried rice and the taste turns out pretty weird. We didn't finished it in the end and I'm glad the portion is small.

Some Sushis to go along..

Beef wrap with golden mushroom. Not too bad but I find it hard to chew!

Another complimentary dish and this is really good! If I'm not wrong, it's some grilled prawn/lobster meat. Damn nice!

Sushi wraps and we each had 2 of it. Derp has already grabbed 1 to eat before I took a proper photo.

Chicken Yakitori.

Fried toufu!

More sashimi again and the waitress will asked how many slices you wish to have. I do find it pai seh to reply, just imagine someone saying "give me 20 slices". lol.

Everyone seems to be ordering their fried tempura, and I went ahead. It's really fresh and yummy.

More meat this time wrapped with the golden mushroom.

Derp enjoying his sashimi. :)

And that's all we have ordered for a buffet that costs $80 for both.  Now you see why we are boycotting buffet unless necessarily. Seriously, not worth! The food is really good but it's just that both of us can't take in much hence it's a waste.

We took photos around Riverview Hotel before leaving. They have pretty xmas trees and deco.

There's many reindeer around this Xmas, even the cars on the round are dress up like a reindeer if you realized.
