After a peaceful night in Hua Lien, We woke up to our 2nd last day whereby We will head back to Taipei which means our Taiwan trip is coming to an end really soon! :(

Morning view from the hotel..still as peaceful..

#OOTD - Decide to wear this cute cat top I bought from Feng Jia Night Market :):)

The breakfast at Fullon Hua Lien Hotel was quite good actually, same standard as the buffet dinner We had the night before, it was quite a spread.

We took a train ride back to Taipei but We stop before Yi Lan because our tour guide can't get all the train tickets to Yi Lan, so some tickets is to Yi Lan, some are not. But anyway our bus pick us up and in a 1 hour ride, We are back in Taipei :)

Btw, the train ride was so comfortable that We fell alseep. We were seated separately so it's like half of us at the front, half at the back, the tour guide was wondering why that few of us in another cabin didn't get down. Thankfully the train did not drive off if not, We would have probably ended up somewhere and would need to call our tour guide to pick us up. lol.

Lunch that day was xiao long bao cusine! Something which I've been looking forward to. This restaurant is base in Taipei, not anywhere near Xi Men Ding, but just Taipei.

Many different types of xiao long baos which were served first before the main course.

Crab meat fried rice. Quite salt-ish.

Veggies

SAM_1221
Sweet and Sour soup. Texture of the soup is like those of fish maw soup :) Refused to say shark fin thought I know it's also similar because I personally ban shark fin soup!

The dessert.

After lunch, We went to the factory outlet to get 鳳梨酥 :). There's sampling counter for us and We are able to sample all the different types. From what I hear, there's also 維格 in the airport but you can't sample it! Btw, it's a really famous brand because you'll probably see everyone checking in their boxes of 鳳梨酥 all by 維格.

As long you spend above a certain amount(I think is 2000NT /2400NT), they wrapped it up for u in a box so that it will be easier for you to check in at the airport. It's not difficult to hit that amount actually especially if you got a lot of friends/relatives to get for. Derp and I barely make it to the minimum amount but We walked around to hunt for some other items to add on.

Took photos with the mascots outside 維格. So cute :)

For more info on where they are base in taipei, click here. There's tourists from hong kong asking me when I'm in Xi Men Ding where to find 維格. There's other brands of pineapple tarts there but just not 維格.

We went to the 國立中正紀念堂 National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall after buying our pineapple tarts to see the changing of guards. Changing of guards happens every hour, first half of the hour to be exact, so be there during the first 15 minutes of every hour should be fine.

I remember asking Derp whether Singapore Istana have change guard ceremony anot, We come up with a conclusion that even if there is, We probably don't know about it.

Here they come..
Btw, their marching pattern is quite different from us. You'll probably get what I mean if you've seen it yourself.
